Here’s a list for everyone of some ideas to do for a ritual during a full moon.
Create sacred space with candles, sage smudging, and setting up altars with powerful totems. ( if you don’t have any supplies even one candle will do.)
If possible, stand or sit under the Moon. Allow yourself to feel a direct relationship to it, as a mover of the living waters of the Earth and within our own bodies.
Do a grounding exercise, to bring you out of the chatter of small talk and into ritual space. Feel the earth under your feet and shake out the tension in the body.
Swallow the moon – Taoist women have long been using a full moon meditation to help them cultivate and retain their youthfulness, sensuality and feminine power. Step outside, face the moon when it is just rising, and gently breathe in the lunar energy, swallowing it. Do this thirty times.
Drink the full moon water – Fill up your favorite teacup with water and leave it on the balcony overnight to soak up the delightful full moon energy. Drink it in the morning and let the full moon water nourish you and energize you.
Make a full moon collage – What do you want to create at this point in your life? Let your inner voice speak to you by making a collage. This exercise has revealed to me much about my life and myself. It’s quite fun, too! Check out my collage.
Celebrate the five elements – When the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water work together harmoniously, our life is also in balance and harmony. If you feel a need to strengthen one particular element, bring it into your full moon ritual. For example, if feel that you need more earth energy, going for a full moon hike or dancing on the grass with your bare feet may be a fun way to celebrate this element. Express your sensuality – The full moon goddess is bold and uninhibited. Express your sensuality fully and freely and share it with your partner. Imagine what’s like to make love under the beautiful full moon.
The veil that separates us from the spirit realm is thinning and is the thinnest on Halloween. With the veil thin spirits can cross over to roam the earth for the briefest time. That’s why this is the best time for getting in contact with lost loved ones.
For celebration ideas, there is a long list in the Discussion tab.
Remember to put a candle in your window so your loved ones know where to travel too.
